Sea Kayaking Adventures in Kenai Fjords NP

About Kenai Fjords National Park

Almost one hundred years ago, Kenai Fjords was a great river of ice. Today, the bay is a water filled fjord. Every summer, glaciers descending from the mountains into the Fjords create one of nature's most spectacular displays. As the summer heat warms the glaciers, huge chucks of ice the size of houses crumble with a deafening roar into the ocean. Kenai Fjords National Park has been acclaimed to be the crowned jewel of the Kenai Penninsula. More than one hundred alpine and valley glaciers flow from the mountain Ranges in Kenai Fjords National Park. Kenai Fjords National Park is home for many animals, including deer, bears, mountain goats, porpoises, orcas, whales and waterfowl. Many of these animals are endangered, and rely on the National Park and Preserve status to protect them.

Take an amazing boat tour or kayaking trip to magnificent tidewater glaciers, some towering 200 feet above the waterline. Marvel at spectacular scenery, including the snow capped peaks. Glide through serene and unspoiled waters on a sea kayak.
