Fox Island Escape 3 days/ 2nights

This tour offers guests an opportunity to visit Fox Island, former home to Rockwell Kent during 1918-1919. He was a painter, writer, political activist and man of many talents. Now you can explore the wonders of Fox Island too!
There are eight private cabins on Fox Island, each with private shower and toilet, two beds, table and chairs and a view of the water. The island gets its power from wind and solar powered generators. No televisions, radios, computers or phones will disrupt your escape to Fox Island.

Walrus Viewing and Photo Expedition

The wild and lonely Walrus Islands, and the nearby wilderness coast of the Togiak Refuge, are summer residence for a range of animals and birds, including walrus, the endangered Steller sea lion, giant Alaska brown (grizzly) bears, two species of puffins, and other seabirds and raptors. This tour offers four safe and comfortable options for exciting up-close encounters with some of Alaska’s wildest wildlife.

Matanuska Glacier Hike - 1.5 hour

Discover glacier hiking and the natural history of the Matanuska Glacier. This trip is designed for family fun and ages 6-86 (more or less). You'll use mountaineering crampons to "walk on water" as you explore the glacier with your guide. A great overview and photo opportunity. Note: drive time from Anchorage is 2 hours. We depart anchorage twice a day. Departure times are 7am and 11am.

Matanuska Glacier Ice Fall Trek - 3 hour

Our most popular hike, featuring close-up views of crevasses, seracs and unique ice formations. With the use of crampons, you'll enjoy trekking to a high point on the glacier which overlooks the ice fall as well as getting up close. The glacier is in a constant state of change, and your guide can point out various features as you navigate the intense surface. This is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Note: Drive time from Anchorage is 2 hours.

Matanuska Glacier Interpretive Hike - 1 hour

This short walk is planned to give your large group the opportunity to stand on a glacier, learn about the natural history of the area and get some great photos. Your group will have a fun and entertaining walk down to the edge of the blue ice led by a knowledgeable Guide. It's a relatively easy walk, taking about an hour. We do not use any special equipment for this trip as we are hiking mainly on dirt and gravel. Note: Drive time from Anchorage is 2 hours.

Matanuska Glacier Midnight Sun Trek

Enjoy the Ice Fall Trek by the light of the midnight sun. These trips are available in June, July and August, and are great for photography enthusiasts. You will marvel at the alpenglow on the ice and enjoy the sounds of the glacier as it settles in for the evening. Midnight Sun hikes leave at 6:00 pm by prior arrangement. No experience necessary. Note: Drive time from Anchorage is 2 hours.

Talkeetna River Float Trip - 2 hour

Few places in the world can equal the scale and beauty of Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range. On this two hour narrated Talkeetna River Natural History Float Trip, you will see spectacular vistas of this magnificent scenery. Chulitna River Float Trip - 4 hour

Rafting through the pristine wildlands of Denali State Park (and the borderlands of Denali National Park), you will see vistas and magnificent scenery most folks just read about or experience via magazines.  The raft launch is at mile 133 of the George Parks Highway. Note: From Talkeetna.

Polar Bear Nature & Photo Adventure - Churchill

Our Nature Photo Adventure program caters to serious photographers and naturalists. These programs are all-inclusive; air transportation between Winnipeg and Churchill, hotel accommodations in Winnipeg and Churchill, all meals as well as a number of Tundra Buggy excursions to see the bears. Professional photographers or naturalists escort Specialist groups. A maximum amount of time is scheduled for optimum bear viewing.

Polar Bear Adventure - Churchill

Our Polar Adventure Tour is designed for those who wish to visit Churchill to not only see the magnificent Lord of the Arctic, Manitoba's polar bears, but also to experience the history and culture of the region. Led by very knowledgeable guides, Enthusiast program itineraries include activities other than bear watching, such as a town and area tour, entrance to the Eskimo Museum and Parks Canada facility and a private slide presentation. Either dog sledding or a cultural-arts program is included.

The Polar Bear Explorer programs are great for the 'Do It Yourselfer,' are designed for those travellers who may not have as much travel-time, or to those who wish to come to Churchill in hopes of seeing a bear, but are not necessarily interested in taking part in community-based activities.
